The granulator is a single-rotor crushing machine, on the rotor of which there is a certain number of knife blocks, which crush the material in question by rotating on one or two counter-knife bars (stators).
The material is crushed in the circulation until it is small enough to pass a screen placed under the rotor. The target grain size of the output material can thus be determined via the diameter of the screen perforation.

The typical application of the granulators is the size reduction of the starting material to particle sizes between approx. 10 and 30 mm. Each comminution puts the stator knives in particular to a hard test. These have to be changed frequently in comparable granulators. Our innovation from the field: The adjustment range of the knives is a full 30 mm instead of 5 mm – up to 6 times more! This significantly reduces operating costs, as downtimes are greatly reduced – without compromising output quality and reliability.

The quick-change slitter shaft system developed and patented by Artech allows two completely clamped slitter shafts (consisting of shafts, cutting knives, bearing housings, bearings, seals and bushings) to be inserted into or removed from the slitter unit.
